VACANCY – LECTURER IN PUBLIC HEALTH (3)
St Luke’s College of Health Sciences was established in 1972 and is one of the training institutions under the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). The College is owned by the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire (ADUS), situated in Malosa, Zomba. The College is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following existing vacant positions.
POSITION: Lecturer in Public Health (3)
GRADE: I
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Public Health and Community Development
LOCATION: St Luke’s College of Health Sciences Campus
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Classroom and clinical teaching
- Setting and marking students’ classroom and clinical examinations
- Participate in the development of the master plan for the academic year
- Participate in budgeting for the public health and community development training program
- Participate in the routine review of the college curriculum
- Work out weekly lecture timetables for students
- Maintain students’ records
- Provide counseling, guidance and advice to students
- Ensure prudent use of human and material resources
- Participate in research activities
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Public Health from an accredited institution
- Registered with the Medical Council of Malawi (MCM)
- Minimum of two years teaching experience
