Midwifery Department

The midwifery department is responsible for providing education, training, and practical experience related to midwifery. Midwifery is a specialized field of healthcare that focuses on providing care to pregnant individuals before, during, and after childbirth.

Midwifery is a hands-on profession, so the department organizes clinical rotations and practical experiences for students. These rotations take place in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. Students get the opportunity to work with experienced midwives, observe childbirth, and participate in various aspects of care.

The department also focuses on teaching the theoretical foundations of midwifery practice. This includes teaching students about the physiological and psychological aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. Additionally, some midwifery departments engage in research to contribute to the advancement of midwifery knowledge and practices.

Our students are taught to be culturally sensitive and respect the diverse backgrounds and preferences of their clients. The department educates students on providing care that is respectful, empathetic, and tailored to individual needs.
